After spending several summers vacationing on the South Carolina coastal community of the Isle of Palms, Don and I decided that this was the ideal place to spend our retirement years. At the same time we thought this would be a good area to purchase property for investment purposes. In January of 1994 we left Doylestown,Ohio (a suburb of Akron) and came south in hopes of making our dreams come true.
Our first stop was at Island Realty, where we met Bill Ripley, one of their sales agents. With his expertise and knowledge of the island, we purchased our first condominium in March, 1994. In May of 1995, he again helped us purchase a second condominium. After spending two winters on the island, we decided this was the place we wish to retire to. Again, Mr. Ripley helped us find and purchase our present home in the Wild Dunes area of the island; of which we are very grateful. We love our home and are most thankful to have Mr. Bill Ripley as our real estate agent.
